BINANCE’S NEW BITCOIN HOT WALLET SENT 15,539 BITCOIN IN 24,223 PAYMENTS — IT JOINED THE RESERVE FILE ON NOVEMBER 1 — THE HACKED HOT WALLET HAS SENT NOTHING SINCE OCTOBER 30

Binance reopened bitcoin withdrawals on November 1, 2026. Forbes, citing Binance’s status page, put the restart shortly after 06:00 UTC. You don’t have to take the exchange’s word for it. Its proof of reserves address file for the October 31 snapshot was posted again on November 1, with a Last-Modified time of 05:09 UTC and a new sheet called “New_Wallet_Address.” It lists 119 wallets. One is bitcoin: bc1qhp7n555hk5mxlp3pz0347nzah8gazwe7wp5fjj.

I pulled that address’s full history. From 06:00 UTC to block 974,143, mined at 15:50 UTC on November 1, it signed 417 transactions. They paid 24,223 outputs worth 15,538.86 bitcoin to addresses that are not on Binance’s hot or cold wallet lists. It also sent 5,412.74 bitcoin back to Binance’s listed cold wallet 3M219KR5vEneNb47ewrPfWyb5jQ2DjxRP6. It was filled with 22,901 bitcoin from Binance’s own listed wallets, plus 500 from an address not on the list. Two block explorers agree on its totals.

Bar chart: Binance's new bitcoin hot wallet, 06:00 UTC to block 974,143 on Nov. 1, 2026. In: 22,901 bitcoin from Binance's listed wallets and 500 from an unlisted address. Out: 15,538.86 to unlisted addresses and 5,412.74 back to Binance's cold wallet.

The old hot wallet, bc1qm34lsc65zpw79lxes69zkqmk6ee3ewf0j77s3h, is the one that sent 18,270 bitcoin to the hackers’ 19 addresses on October 29. It has not sent a coin since block 973,754 on October 30. Binance moved its bitcoin payouts to a new key. The new file did not fix the old list, though. It still counts 1,300.019572 bitcoin at an address that holds 100.01957174, the gap we checked on October 31.

One thing this can’t show: whether every one of those 24,223 outputs is a customer’s. Some could be Binance’s own deposit addresses, which sit in a separate 1.9 gigabyte list I did not check. But the payouts themselves are not a claim. Anyone with a node can count them. A withdrawal on the chain is something you can check. A balance on a screen is something you trust. At the time of this writing, bitcoin was $77,890.
