MONDAY OPENS THE RELOAD WINDOW — SAYLOR 8-K, BITMEX SUNSET, FED PAUSE MATH ALL LAND IN ONE TAPE

"The setup rhymes with July 20. Sunday tease, Monday deploy." — the Fundamentalist read on the week open.
Monday opens with three separate tape events that operators have to sequence in their heads before the bell. Saylor's Sunday tease fired this morning at 9 AM ET ("Doing Business") — the Sunday-into-Monday pattern that produced the July 20 $263.5M reserve refill (zero BTC bought) and the August 3 sale of 1,638 BTC at $63,957 (dividend cover). Whichever branch of that pattern the 8-K lands on Monday, the ammo is loaded — Strategy holds roughly $4B in USD reserve against a $1.76B annual preferred dividend obligation.
THE PATTERN The Sunday tease into Monday 8-K sequence has run three times in the past six weeks. July 20: reserve refill, zero BTC bought. July 27: cash to defend the STRC preferred, zero BTC bought. August 3: 1,638 BTC sold to cover dividends. Today's "Doing Business" tease sits in the same pattern box. What Monday resolves is which branch fires this week.
At 12:00 UTC Monday (8:00 AM ET, 8:00 AM ET) BitMEX sunsets its September-expiry contracts across XRP, ADA, ETH, and XBTUSDT. New positions are already blocked from Aug 26. The full board dies Sep 23. Perpetual-swap volume moves fully to Hyperliquid, Deribit, Bybit, and every dYdX clone that runs the primitive BitMEX invented in 2016. The venue closes; the primitive it authored keeps clearing.
WHAT WE'RE WATCHING The 12 scheduled 8-K scans across the 7:45-9:15 AM ET window. The BitMEX 12:00 UTC settlement clock. September FOMC odds through the Monday open. STRC / STRK / STRD preferred bid into the print. And whether the Doing Business tease is a buy sequel or a sell sequel — the tape hasn't sequenced this specific tease phrase before.
September Fed pause odds sit at 56% after July NFP printed -23K vs +80K expected. The long end already repriced the print — 30-year Treasury at 5.20% on August 5, a 19-year high. Warsh held the funds rate at 3.5-3.75% July 29 on a 9-3 vote with three dissenters wanting a hike; the tape has been arguing with the committee for two weeks. Monday's tape open is where the argument gets a new week's worth of data.
The setup is the same one we ran twice this month.
The tape open is where the Sunday tease resolves.
The cap is still twenty-one million.
