BITGET CEO SAYS THE US WON’T BUY BITCOIN. BITGET MAKES MONEY WHEN BITCOIN DOESN’T MOVE.
The exchange CEO’s flat forecast is what her exchange needs to hit its numbers.
Bitget CEO Gracy Chen made two predictions today. Bitcoin will finish the year within $10,000 or $20,000 of $77,000. The US government will not buy any Bitcoin for at least two years.
Bitget is an exchange. Exchanges make money on trades. Not on Bitcoin going up. Not on Bitcoin going down. On people trading Bitcoin back and forth. Flat prices with lots of volume is the sweet spot. Big rockets up move money into cold storage. Big drops kill participation. Neither pays the bills.
The US government already holds 328,372 Bitcoin. Most of it came from seizures, not purchases. Executive Order 14233 says the government can never sell what it has. ARMA (H.R. 8957) is moving in the House to lock that rule into law for 20 years and require public proof every three months. Chen is not wrong that Congress will not vote for active buying tomorrow. She is also not wrong that her exchange needs Bitcoin to stay in the middle.
She is not wrong. She is just not wrong about her business.
She said flat.
Her exchange needs flat.
Rockets up move coins to cold storage.
Drops kill volume.
Flat pays the bills.
The cap is still twenty-one million.
