EIGHT GREEN DAYS, $2.8 BILLION IN — AUGUST IS ALREADY THE ETF SHELF’S BEST MONTH OF THE YEAR — AND THE YEAR IS STILL RED

The fund flows finally turned into a streak worth naming: $232 million came into the spot Bitcoin funds Wednesday, the eighth straight day of net buying, roughly $2.8 billion for the run. August has now topped $3 billion — the strongest month of 2026, about double what April managed — and BlackRock’s fund is absorbing most of it, taking in around 62% of Monday’s total and $1.3 billion last week alone. Total assets sit near $99 billion, though most of that jump from mid-August is the price moving, not new money. The Capitalist read: respect the streak, and read the whole statement. Eight green days is real institutional demand — the depth data says the same thing from the other side of the book. But the year-to-date line is still negative by about two billion dollars; this run has clawed back barely half of what walked out between May and July. That is not a bull case or a bear case, it is an accounting fact, and accounting facts are what fiduciaries allocate against. Three sessions remain in the month; about $160 million more makes August the biggest inflow month since October 2025. Watch whether the streak survives the first red candle. Conviction shows up on the down days.
