X’S TRADE BUTTON REACHES STRIVE’S $SATA, NOT JUST $BTC — ITS AD CHIEF PITCHED IT — E*TRADE IS ON THE LIST, BUT NOT IN THE LAUNCH COVERAGE

We tapped $SATA on X on Tuesday. SATA is Strive’s variable-rate preferred stock, the kind of Digital Credit a bitcoin treasury company sells to raise money for bitcoin. The page showed a price of $100.01 and a black “Trade SATA” button. Behind it, a sheet listed four brokers: E*TRADE, Moomoo, Interactive Brokers and Gemini.

That list does not match the launch. X announced the Cashtag Partner Program on September 15, and the coverage named five partners: Coinbase, Kraken, Gemini, Interactive Brokers and Moomoo. E*TRADE, owned by Morgan Stanley, was not one of them. Coinbase and Kraken did not show up for SATA. The brokers on the sheet change with the ticker, and we found no published list of which ones appear where. X does not execute the trade. The button sends you to the broker to log in and finish.

Two people spoke for the program. Mridul Singhai, X’s product engineering lead: “Cashtags close the gap between a ticker on the timeline and the market itself.” Monique Pintarelli, head of global advertising at SpaceXAI, per Benzinga: “With our Cashtag partners, we’re connecting the financial conversation to action.” When the ad side announces a partner program, read the partners as customers. No fee or revenue terms were disclosed.

Digital Credit is pitched on X every day. Now the pitch and the purchase are one tap apart. X is also suing the people behind nine bitcoin accounts, alleging they farmed creator payouts with fake engagement. Until now, fake attention on a bitcoin post cost X payouts. Next to a Trade button, it moves money into brokerage accounts. At the time of this writing, bitcoin was $86,309.
