SAYLOR POSTS “WE’RE ₿ACK” AFTER TWO SILENT WEEKS — STRATEGY SITS ON $6.69 BILLION IN CASH, READY TO BUY AGAIN
Michael Saylor posted three words on X: “We’re ₿ack,” the bitcoin symbol standing in for the A, and that’s the whole announcement. No 8-K yet, no press release, just the tell. Here’s what he’s sitting on: Strategy went quiet for two weeks, August 17 through 23, the longest pause since the buying campaign started. It wasn’t idle. The company raised $2.01 billion through share sales and preferred stock repurchases during that stretch, and now holds $6.69 billion in cash and restricted reserve — $5.10 billion locked, $1.59 billion liquid. That’s ammunition, not retreat. Strategy still owns 840,447 bitcoin, bought at an average cost of $75,385, worth $65.72 billion at today’s price near $79,000. The pause lines up with the price action: bitcoin bottomed near $65,000 on August 19, the exact week Strategy sat out, then ran to $81,000 by August 27. Read the balance sheet the way an operator would. He didn’t stop buying because he lost conviction. He stopped to raise the cash to buy more, waited out the chop, and now he’s telling the market the wallet is loaded again. The 8-K will say the same thing in longer words.
