STRATEGY REFILLS THE RESERVE — $150M USD, $132M STRC BOUGHT BACK, ₿840,447 UNCHANGED
Seven weeks without a spot buy. Saylor confirmed at 8:00 AM ET: "Strategy added $150M to its USD Reserve and repurchased $132M of $STRC, extending USD Duration to 2.8 yrs (+41 days) and tightening STRC BTC Credit to 114 bps (-4 bps)." Stack sits at 840,447 BTC. USD Reserve now $4.8B. The orange dots were only ever part of the story — the cap-structure was always going to matter more.
Last disclosed BTC purchase was June 22 (520 BTC). Since then: seven weeks with no accumulation and two consecutive net sales — Jul 28–Aug 2 sold 1,638 BTC for $104.7M, then Aug 3–9 sold another 1,690 BTC for $108.6M. That's 3,328 BTC out in two weeks, ~$213M of proceeds, all cycled into STRC dividends and STRC preferred-share repurchases. This morning's 8-K continues the capital-only mode — the Monetization Program is now operating entirely on the capital-structure axis, and the trajectory of the USD Reserve tells the story: $4.0B on Aug 2 → $4.65B on Aug 9 → $4.80B on Aug 16. USD Reserve refilled by $150M this week; STRC preferreds repurchased by $132M; USD Duration extended by 41 days; STRC BTC Credit spread compressed by 4 basis points.
The Capitalist read. Two moves in one filing that non-cap-structure readers will miss. First, USD Duration extended to 2.8 years means Strategy is buying itself more time before its preferred obligations mature — that's runway to keep executing the flywheel through whatever the tape does. Second, tightening STRC BTC Credit to 114 bps (down 4 bps) means the market is charging Strategy less to be exposed to Bitcoin through their preferred stack — the STRC repurchase directly compresses the spread they pay. That is not a bearish signal. That is Strategy engineering the cost of capital lower while the stack sits fully invested at 840,447 BTC.
The wrapper conversation misses this every time. The narrative that Strategy has "stopped buying" reads the orange dots on the tracker chart and stops there. What's actually happening is the flywheel moved onto the capital-structure axis: reserve builds, preferred repurchases, duration extensions, credit-spread compressions. The stack holds at 840,447 while the runway extends. The next spot buy resumes when the cap-structure math clears — Strategy has effectively priced that runway at 2.8 more years of engineering room.
June 29 shows up twice in this story. First, that's the date Mempolitics locked "Saylor Sunday tease may increasingly signal a USD Reserve refill rather than a BTC buy" as a pattern hypothesis. The July 13 filing hit it. The August 17 filing hits it again. Sunday tease → Monday capital-only 8-K is now a mode Strategy is running in, not an anomaly. Second, June 29 is also the date Strategy announced its Digital Credit Securities Repurchase Program — the exact program the $132M STRC buyback this week runs under. $653M remaining under that authorization; a separate $1.0B MSTR stock repurchase program from the same June 29 announcement remains untouched. The cap-structure engineering built on June 29 is the engine of the last two months of Monday filings.

Orange dots are only part of the story.
The cap-structure is where this cycle's work is happening.
The cap is still twenty-one million.
