STRIVE SCOOPS 1,110 BITCOIN — AND ITS CASH PILE GREW WHILE IT BOUGHT
Strive (ASST) disclosed a 1,110-bitcoin purchase in a Monday SEC filing — $81.5 million at an average of $73,409 a coin, bought Aug. 17–21 — pushing its treasury to 21,356 BTC, the seventh-largest among public companies. It paid for the buy by issuing 3.65 million Class A shares and 441,313 SATA preferred, and its cash balance still rose $17.1 million to $171.9 million over the same five days. CEO Matt Cole called bitcoin “the fastest horse inside an expanding scarcity trade” and said the company is “structured to amplify that outcome.” Shares closed up more than 11 percent. The Capitalist read: this is the flywheel working exactly as designed — equity-market appetite converted into hard supply faster than the network can mine it, and the treasury walks away from the week holding more coins and more cash. They are not timing the price. They are building the machine that turns paper into scarcity.
