WARSH FED HOLDS AT 3.5-3.75 — 9-3 VOTE, THREE PRESIDENTS DISSENT FOR A HIKE. THE RELOAD ARRIVES CONDITIONAL. MSTR PRINTS TOMORROW.

Fed funds target unchanged at 3.5-3.75 percent. Fifth consecutive meeting on hold. Warsh’s first meeting as chair produced a 9-3 vote — the most dissents for the opposite direction of the majority since September 2016. Beth Hammack (Cleveland), Neel Kashkari (Minneapolis), and Lorie Logan (Dallas) wanted a quarter-point hike. Warsh kept the statement shorter than the pre-Warsh norm; one of his five internal task forces is aimed at rewriting Fed communication. The Fundamentalist read: this is the reload thesis becoming testable in real time. The tape got its status-quo — no cut, no hike, dollar liquidity stays where it is — but the three-vote dissent is a live warning that tightening is still on the FOMC’s table. The FOMC noted activity is expanding at a solid pace while inflation remains elevated relative to the two-percent goal. That’s the exact language that keeps the debasement trade intact — rates cannot fall while inflation is elevated, refinancing pressure keeps climbing on $39.7 trillion of federal debt growing seven billion a day, and the long-cycle allocator gets another quarter of confirmation that the fiscal box hasn’t opened. The 96-hour framework we wrote at the beginning of the week just resolved its macro leg. The cap-structure leg prints tomorrow when MSTR reports Q2 and the market decides whether Saylor’s five-week cash pause and STRC defense read as discipline or as constraint. Warsh delivered a Fed that isn’t unanimous. Saylor reports into a rate environment that isn’t moving lower.
