Grayscale published its bear-market call today: Bitcoin's downside pressure could run through September or October if the historic four-year cycle holds, unless the Fed halts rate hikes and US growth stays strong. The four-year cycle typically sees drawdowns of roughly 80% from peak. The Fundamentalist read is not that Grayscale predicts a specific low — it's that they're anchoring the timing to Fed policy and structural cycle mechanics, not narrative. Two variables: the Fed's next move (July 28-29 FOMC), and whether the four-year cycle is still the master pattern in an era of ETF flows and corporate treasury demand. If cycles hold, we're weeks from a decision. If they don't, the ETF and corporate-treasury bids that pulled in $930M since July 14 are now the primary demand structure, not retail. Either way, October is the marker.
