DALIO: DEBT CRISIS HITS IN ‘THREE YEARS, GIVE OR TAKE TWO’ — HIS FIX: GOLD AND BITCOIN, NOT BONDS.

The number finally showed up on the sign: forty trillion dollars. That’s what the United States owes now, while the 30-year Treasury bond just paid the highest interest rate since 2007 — investors are demanding more to trust a promise that keeps growing bigger. Ray Dalio didn’t get here by loving Bitcoin. He got here by studying debt cycles for fifty years, and the math says the government spends about 40% more than it takes in and calls the gap normal. So when the man who wrote the book on debt crises says he’s putting 10 to 15% of his money in gold and holding real Bitcoin instead of government bonds, that’s not a hot take, that’s an autopsy. He says the real trouble lands in three years, give or take two — an honest way of admitting nobody actually knows, only that the debt keeps compounding while the fixes keep getting postponed. Bitcoin just posted its best week since 2023, right on cue, because money nobody can print responds to men who can’t stop printing. A government can promise you 3% growth forever. It can’t promise the dollar buys the same loaf of bread next year. A promise you keep rewriting isn’t a promise.
