BITGET WILL RESTART BITCOIN WITHDRAWALS AT 08:00 UTC ON 2026-09-28, THREE DAYS AND THIRTEEN HOURS AFTER IT SAW THE TRANSFERS — EVERY OTHER TOKEN, FIAT AND P2P WAITS UNTIL 2026-10-02

Bitget has put dates on the door. Bitcoin withdrawals reopen at 08:00 UTC on 2026-09-28. Ethereum and the EVM chains the next day, USDT the day after, and then everything else, fiat and P2P included, on 2026-10-02. Detection was 18:31 UTC on 2026-09-24, so a customer who wanted their bitcoin out waits three days and thirteen and a half hours, and a customer in the last tranche waits a week and a half a day.

Notice that bitcoin goes first. That is the correct business decision and it tells you what the queue is really sorted by. One asset, one chain, one withdrawal path, nothing to validate except itself. The long tail at the back is every token, every bridge, every fiat rail and every counterparty, which is exactly where a patched hole is hardest to prove closed. Complexity is not free and here is the invoice, denominated in days your money does not move.

The balance sheet is fine, and that is worth saying plainly rather than grudgingly. The protection fund is stated at over $464 million against a loss now put at about $387.5 million, so roughly $76 million of headroom, and deposits and trading never stopped. Bitget is not insolvent. It is illiquid to its own customers on a published timetable, which is a different thing and the only thing most of them will remember.

The tell is the running order at the end of the week. Chen holds a live AMA at 07:30 UTC on 2026-09-28. Bitcoin withdrawals open at 08:00. Thirty minutes between the questions and the door. If the door opens on schedule, the schedule was real. At the time of this writing, bitcoin was $82,961.
